Welcome to A Balanced Lifestyle. You can check out some of our previous posts from this site and our sister site Levels of Minimalism.
We have all heard the saying “You’ve got to fake it till you make it”. A lot of people take this saying a believe it to be a true fact of life. These are the sort of people who most of us can pick out after spending just a short amount of time with them. Unfortunately, if you try to fake it before you actually end up making it then it can lead to some dire consequences both mentally and financially if things don’t work out the way you expect.
How many times a day have we said to ourselves or to other people “I just don’t have enough time to get everything done”. Yes, we have all said it but is it really true or is it just something that we say to make ourselves feel better about not completing the tasks that we need to get done daily.
Being productive in business and in our everyday lives can be extremely hard. Procrastination always seem to rear its ugly head just when we need to get things done. Being a blogger it is so easy to get sidetracked when starting to do a new project. I usually end up going onto the internet to research something and end up checking email, social media feeds etc., and an hour later still haven’t gotten all the information that I needed. It’s become human nature to want that dopamine rush you get from checking to see what is new and exciting in our cyber circle, or maybe it’s just a distraction while at work and you never quite get back to what you had planned to complete.
Goals, we all have them, but what are we doing daily/weekly/monthly in order to reach these goals. A goal could be anything from starting a business, early retirement or even just getting that promotion at work. Unfortunately, most of us just think about the end result and not “What do I have to do in order to attain this goal”.
